Romantic Valentines Makeup Look: Part 2

Monday's Valentine's Look post led to a big number of requests asking how I did my face. (I say big number, 3 friends asked and 1 person commented - RADICAL TIMES)

Never to shy away from pleasing my readers, I've written up a quick tutorial with the products I used. I'd be lying if If i said it was "just a few products" - natural beauty makeup is at least a 5 product job for me! And because it's Valentines, I've used a couple of extras...

For me Valentines should be natural, but an enhanced version of yourself. So a good, clear base for your skin, neat brows plus defined yet natural eyes and lips.

Not that hard then eh?? Here's how I've done it.

So what did I use for this face?

This is the array of magical miracle workers which helped build this face! A mix of current favourites and old trusty friends.

Face Foundations: Good Skin

Clear-looking skin is a must. Start as you mean to go on with the Seventeen Flawless Poreless primer. It's a great silky base for your foundation to fall in love with...

What foundation did I use? For a glowy, radiant base - I picked my trusty Lancome Teint Visionnaire foundation (which I reviewed here) I love that it treats my skin and prevents it from ageing at the same time!!

Beautiful Blush: Another good egg from Lancome. And so appropriate for Valentines day, this is the Lancome Blush In Love which I reviewed here. This gorgeous petal blush is very romantic, the perfect pink flush for your face.

Bye Bye BooBoos: Hide any signs of pre-valentines partying with the BenefitFake-Up concealer. It’s meant for under the eye, but I like using it on spots too as the texture is great.

For additional highlighting and concealing I've used the cult YSL touche eclat. It brightens, conceals and adds radiance wherever you like! Not sure how to use touche? Check out my Touch Eclat how-to here

The Eyes Have It

I've used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Taupe, gel black eyeliner (I’ve used L’Oreal Superliner Gel Intenza) and Soap &Glory Love At First Blush – yup, I’m cheating here, using a blusher on my eyelids!! AM I MENTAL OR WHAT?!!

Apply the Color Tattoo - it's a bit like a fast drying eye cream. Then swirl your brush in Soap & Glory Love At First Blush and press onto the eyelid. The result is a shimmery but solid colour which lasts for ages!

Finallythink pink with this gorgeous lipgloss by Lush. The Kiss is a lovely pearly lip balm/gloss from the Lush Valentines range. It’s not as moisturising as I’d like it to be but it tastes delicious, feels comfortable on the lips and looks great

(The taste is really unique, sort of sugary-citrus-candyfloss-clove. Hard to describe but its fab, one of my favourites!)

Oh, and if your eyelashes need a bit of a boost, try these fab Betty Lashes from MeSoMakeup

I normally only wear falsies for nights out but these are great for a natural, daytime flutter and are only £6 incl free delivery!
