Boots Christmas - My Top Present Picks!

The festive adverts are on TV,  the department store Christmas windows have been revealed - I know it's only November but I've decided to embrace the fact that Christmas is just around the corner. Hooray!

Obviously you'll know Christmas is here when the Coca Cola advert is on TV but by then Christmas shopping should be in full flow, much like the mulled wine in my house.

So to help you kick off your preparations, I've selected a few frankly awesome gifts from the Boots Christmas range. You know I love presents! Feel free to pass this page onto your chief present buyer and say "JUST GET ME THESE LOVE, THANKS"

So what have we got here then? These are my top presents that I would want - a real mix of essentials and of course, luxuries. You don't want what you actually need at Xmas do you?

Let's take a closer look...

Firstly, this eyeliner set from Seventeen.

Or as I like to call it, my eyeliner wardrobe.

Full of different eyeliner formats, this kit has an eyeliner for every occasion.

You've got liquid eyeliner for sharp precise flicks, kohl crayon for deliciously smudgey lids, 16-hour gel for intense inking and the Make Your Mark eyeliner pen for ultimate control.

This is the same eyeliner I used to draw the floral lace design over my eyes for Halloween. A post will follow soon with examples of all the different looks you can create.

Next up, this sophisticated Perfect Eye Collection from No7 is a great little set for subtle (or not so subtle) smokey eyes.

With three mini limited edition eyeshadows and two decent quality brushes, you can wash the shades over your eyelids for daytime pretty or use the eyeliner brush to load up the dark gunmetal shade along the lash line for some evening drama.

The contour brush is the key for great makeup as it helps blend colours together and gets rid of harsh lines. Try buffing it in gentle circles around the outside of your eyeshadow and see the difference!

Speaking of makeup brushes.....

I was asked the other day what the essential makeup brushes were. Are makeup brushes needed? The answer is simple - foam applicators are the devil. That spongy little stick that comes with your eyeshadow which has only room for half of your thumb to grip and disintegrates after 2 uses? The devil.

But at the same time, I understand that most normal non-beauty obsessed people probably won't want to spend lots of money on makeup brushes. (I have almost 30 different brushes - such is the way of my curse!)

And that's where this little collection comes in. This is the Brush Up Your Image collection by Fearne Cotton

Featuring five double-ended brushes to save space in your makeup bag. I think this is ideal for brush beginners looking for a starting collection and also for those who are travelling light!

Finally, la piece de resistance - my favourite pick of all the Boots Christmas gifts...
It's this stunningly beautiful Ted Baker Sitting Pretty Vanity Case. I saw it and I fell in love. Isn't it lovely?!

What's inside?

A lovely collection of Body Wash, Body Scrub, Body Lotion, Bath Foam, Body Soufflé and Hand Cream!

They smell lush - a mix of floral, fruity and vanilla scents to make you smell amazing.

My favourite is the Body Scrub which smells of "bergamot, patchouli, red fruit", yum!

Oh and also the Body Souffle!  I love applying this straight out of the shower so I then spend the rest of the day wandering around like a soft, fragranced cloud. Ahhh.

But for me, I'd buy this even just for the case - it really is beautiful. The rose gold details and it's silky exterior opening up to a candy striped lining and inner pockets. Now...  just to fill it. No problems there!

So there we go, some of my top picks - but of course, it's not all about me.

Here's some pics of other cool things I saw. And the beauty is - the gifts are on a 3 for 2!

So would any of these make your Christmas list?

Are you a fan of handing over an approved list of ideas, or are you more about a surprise?

Have you seen the Christmas adverts on TV or been to the windows yet? When does Christmas really start for you? Is it when the lights on Oxford St get turned on ....or when the Coca Cola advert arrives?

You know my thoughts!
