When it comes to less is more, there is an unwritten code on how to get dressed. You either show your legs, or you show your chest - never both right? Well for me, it's the same for my makeup. I either play up my eyes, or play up a bright lip.
In most other aspects of my life, I'm a big fan of MORE IS MORE. But what to do on days when you want to keep lips defined but not distracting? Slick on a coat of nude lipstick!
Enter the perfect colour!
This is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in 08.
It's a lovely natural dusky pink, with a hint of mauve. Like my own lip colour, just better!
The formula is creamy and smooth and didn't dry out my lips. It's not a moisturising lippie but it felt comfortable and it definitely has some staying power!
I know I'm 'supposed' to use a brush but I'm far too impatient- I always apply straight from the bullet for a strong colour straightaway!
This is quite an elegant look, great for daytime or with smokey eyes at night. I like that it has a bit of a satin finish without being too shiny but for those who like a shinier finish, I'd dress it up a bit with a layer of gloss.
I think it might be too dark for those with really pale skin or blonde hair, but for me, it's a fab nude tone which subtly enhances my natural lip colour.
I really want to try the L'Oreal Color Riche Privee custom nude range which does nude lipsticks for different skintones! Has anyone tried that?
Do you have a daytime lipstick or lipgloss of choice?
What do you think- it's either lips or eyes? Or is it "more is more" for you?
Does anyone even use a lip brush!?
