So if you've read my first ever post, you'll know that I originally started blogging so that I could share my makeup and money and rambles with the masses.
I'm not gonna lie though, there are times when being a blogger has it's perks. One such perk was the honour of attending the Boots 'Give It A Go' event held in London this week...
So how did Give It A Go...go?
|I was the cat that got the cream!|
The phrase "kid in a candy store" could not be any more appropriate. Upon entry, I was given an empty gift bag which I could fill up with any of the products which were dotted in tempting buckets and jars around the store. (The products above are just my favourite ones!)
It was like a pick & mix section full of beauty goodies aka the BEST 15 MINUTES OF MY LIFE. I was trying to maintain decorum at all times of course - no grabbing, Zoe!
(I may or may not have grabbed.)
I had a whole transformation during the night - I got my hurrrr did, my nails and my makeup too!
I had my normally-straight hair styled into textured, bouncy waves by Erminio Fiocca using Ojon products.
And the wonderful Sandra from Benefit did my power-brows!
HIYA - NEW FACE.
Here's a lowdown on my favourite picks and what I'll be 'giving a go' this autumn/winter season.
Berry lips - it's never too late to get into this trend! These No7 High Shine Lip Crayons are the perfect ease-into for girls who aren't quite lipstick queens yet.
You can apply one coat for a sheer wash of colour or you can really ramp it up and slap it on for a berry pout juicier than a ribena-berry. (Are ribena-berries juicy? They seem to squish a lot in the TV adverts, I assume so....)

AA to ZZ. Nope, im not talking bra sizes, I'm talking about CC cream. You've tried BB, well CC is similar but with added colour corrective pigments to brighten and even the skin. No more sallow sally days!
Of all the products I picked up that night, this CC cream by Seventeen (previously 17 - woooah) was one of my FAVOURITES.
This is gorgeous, it really melts into the skin. It's light, it mattifies and it brightens whilst still giving coverage and radiance!
It's officially "matte radiance" which I normally find really hard to achieve, I can either do dewy & glowy or matte & sharp but this is a lovely balance somewhere in the middle!
I've kept the other product shoutouts for a more in depth review later - so look forward to some more rambles on Lee Stafford and Smashbox coming up soon!
For more info on the looks we tried out at the event, check out this interactive PDF : www.autumnwintertrends.co.uk - it's given me lots of ideas for things to give a go!
So tell me, what products and looks are you giving a go at the moment?
Do you tend to stick to your tried and trusted or are you always trying new things?
How long do you think it will be before we get DD Creams?!
