What I Wore To Work Wednesday: With Forever 21 & Zara

Here we go, another instalment of what I wore to work!

This week has been a lonnnng week - the first week back from holiday is always the worst.

A hundred things to do and I haven't even got through my million emails yet.  I don't need to be worrying about what to wear AS WELL do I?

Luckily, when time is short and the laundry pile is high, I have a go-to outfit which works everytime.

The formula is simple. Shirt. Trousers. Blazer. BOOM.

And here we go - classic white shirt meets new-age rust coloured blazer.

Teamed with a pair of almost 3/4 tapered trousers, there's enough colour and ankle going on to stop it entering boring suit territory but it's still within the lines of 'business casual'.

Star of the show?

It's gotta be the blazer - probably the hardest working blazer I own. Bought from Forever 21 for about £20, it goes with literally EVERYTHING.

The fit is fairly relaxed so it adds a smart-yet-casual edge to most of my outfits

- I sling it over that tiny dress which is borderline too schlaggy to wear in public on its own. (You know that dress.)

- Pair it with a white tee and some skinny jeans for a relaxed saturday shopping in Paris vibe.

- And obviously - shirt and smart trousers - boom it's a work blazer too!

I love this shirt too, it's gold tips and sheer material mean it can be worn in the office and also in the bar after work! The metal details make it look a lot more expensive that it actually was (£14!)

Face Value Tip: Look for expensive-looking detailing which can transform casual clothes into workwear. Think metal hardware, zips, buckles and intricate patterns!

So what do you think? How else would you wear these? Could you wear this to your workplace?

What's the hardest working item in your wardrobe?

How high is YOUR laundry pile right now?
