Nails Inc Lucky Dip is back! 7 Mystery Nail Polishes - what did I get?

For those of you who follow my Facebook page, you'll know that I often post discounts and deals on there during the day. (if you haven't liked me page yet, what are you waiting for?)

Lucky fans today would have been informed that yes, that time of the year was here - the Nails Inc Lucky Dip is happening!!

For those saying 'Nails Inc lucky Dip? I must know more!!" - alriiiighty then!  (Jim Carrey style obvs - if you don't know he is, GET TO KNOW)

Nail Inc Lucky Dip is an offer that Nails Inc run once in a while where you can get 7 of their fab nail polishes for only £18.

Given that the bottles normally retail at £11, this is a noted BARGAIN. The only difference is that it's a lucky dip so you don't get to choose your colours.

Some like the thrill of the surprise, I personally worry about getting horrid colours.

But I did it anyway. Keep reading cos here's what I got!!

The Good, The Bad & The Shiny

As with most lucky dips, there are winners and there are the 'meh' items. I thankfully can say that all mine were winners to me - all colours which I can use and all colours which i can CHERISH FOREVERRRRR.

First up was Chester Street - a gorgeous mushroom, taupe colour which can be used for nude nails, or as a plain base to add nail art designs to.

In a similar colour vein is Great Tichfield Street - a shimmery champagne bronze. Perfect for an understated yet glamorous touch.

I'd wear this to a wine-bar with a blazer/heels combo.

Mixing up the finishes is this awesome Gatwick - a fire engine matte red.

I love a matte finish - it's so unusual.

It also brings a casual edge to outfits - I team it with statement rings to really draw attention to my nails.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall - who was the shiniest of them all?

It's gotta be Richmond Terrace, a shinier-than-thou chocolate brown with a hint of burgundy in the light.

Richmond Terrace is a really unusual colour, not one I'd normally get but it's a soft alternative to gothic black nails.

Vamping up the glam was this cheeky red called Roland Gardens.

You can't have enough red nail varnishes right?

Roland Gardens is definitely one to give any outfit a bit of "how you doin?"

My favourite of the lot was the deep space odyssey which is Franklins Row.

Deep purple shot through with fine glitter, Franklins Row is a lovely dramatic colour which will make even the dullest hands look they take part in secret evening gatherings in abandoned places.

Sshh, don't tell anyone.

And this is the most useful of all the polishes I received.

Part of the Nails Inc Special Jewellery Effects range, Royal Opera Arcade is a full on disco in a bottle!

It can be layered up or worn on its own (as pictured).

Alternatively or you can add a coat of it on top of other shades to really transform them!

Phew - that's the whole collection!

For those of you who may have got colours they didn't like, here's some ideas to use those "unusable" colours.

- Use them as detailing colours in nail art rather than over all the nails
- Paint only one nail as an accent nail - I like the ring finger or index as an intended odd-one-out.
- Mix them with complementing colours when doing marble effect nails
